BASKETBALL
Hernando Parks and Recreation offers a recreational 8 weeks basketball league available to boys and girls, ages 8 to 18. The season will run from November to February. Registration begins in September. A copy of the player’s birth certificate and a form of payment must accompany the registration form. All Players will receive a uniform (jersey and shorts) as part of the registration fee.
Our League’s Focus:
Our League’s focus and mission is to provide a program that will provide a program that will be fun, safe and foster growth in the skill of basketball. We also wish to provide instruction and coaching that is driven by the motivation that we want your child to become a better player while participating in our league. The program is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of basketball in a less competitive setting. This is what makes this league different from any other. We want kids to learn how to play the right way and then take what they have learned into competition.

Registration Fee: $80 per youth
Non-County Resident Fee: $95
Late Registration Fee: $20

General League Information:
NO REFUNDS AFTER PLAYER DRAFT
All teams will practice once a week
Games will be played every Saturday, January – February; ending with a Tournament at the end of the season
Players must be of age for age division on or before Jan. 1st
Players may play up a division but they cannot play down
