PURPOSE: To allow some persons who owe fines and who have failed to pay, as ordered by this Court, an opportunity to pay the past due
fines without additional penalties.
PLACE: Payments may be made in person at the office of the Hernando City Court Clerk, Gale Center 2601 Elm St #4, Hernando, MS..
Forms of payment accepted: cash, in-state check and money order (payable to the City of Hernando),
debit card (with card holder present with picture ID),
PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE ARE NOT ACCEPTED

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
PAYING IN FULL: All fines and costs due must be paid in full in order to receive warrant forgiveness. If all fines and costs are paid in full then
any outstanding warrants previously issued or pending as a result of failure to pay fines will be withdrawn and/or set aside
at no cost to the offending person.
NOT PAYING IN FULL: Should a person, who owes fines and costs to the city, wish to make a payment on any past due fines less than the entire
amount owed, that person must appear in Court to explain the reason he or she cannot pay in full. Any person, making a
payment toward any such fines less than the full amount, who can demonstrate good reason for additional time to complete
the payment of fines may, after consideration by the Court be eligible for warrant forgiveness. If granted the Judge will,
upon payment of fines as ordered cancel all outstanding warrants for contempt for failure to pay.
Defendants, who follow these guidelines can pay their fines and cost without fear of being arrested for their past failure to pay
DRIVER'S LICENSES: The City of Hernando does not control the issuance and/or suspension of driver's license. However, if your license have been
suspended as a result of not paying fines due the City of Hernando, upon full payment of fines and costs related to the
suspension, the clerk of the court will give you the proper form to have your driver's license reinstated.
