The Historic Preservation Commission oversees and applies the Historic Preservation District section of the zoning ordinance and grants Certificates of Appropriateness for projects within the Historic Preservation District.  The Historic Districts are authorized and approved by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (www.mdah.ms.gov).
