Over the course of 8 weeks, teens dive deep into drawing realistic portraits and figures. These classes offer a step by step approach to drawing the human form so that artists can create confidently from observation or imagination. First we construct the head, the human form and all the intricate features by truly understanding the anatomy and how it relates to drawing. Next, we draw realistically by learning how to render the effects of light. And lastly, we place figures in space by understanding perspective and creating atmosphere.Classes meet at the DeSoto Arts Council gallery - Once a week for 1.5 hours.
