  6. Approve Minutes from the Regular Mayor and Board of Aldermen Meeting on May 17, 2022, and Recessed Meeting on May 23, 2022.

     

  7. Consent Agenda

     

  1. Authorize Kristen Duggen to attend Building Officials Summer Conference in Gulfport, MS on June 13-17, 2022, also authorize to pay registration and travel expenses.
  2. Approval for A Vaughn, A Moore, and T Harris in the Police Department to attend MLEOA 2022 Conference in Biloxi, MS on June 12, 2022- June 17-2022 and pay for travel.
  3. Approval of Proclamation for Active People, Healthy Nation Initiative.
  4. Request from Desoto County to waive the permit and plan review fees in the amount of $1630.00 for the renovation of 3055 Industrial Drive West for the Sheriff’s Department.

     

    1. Personnel Docket

       

    2. Approval for the Veterans Day Parade on November 11, 2022 at 10:00 am, and the Optimist Club Independence Day Children’s Parade on July 1, 2022 at 7:00 pm.

       

    3. Approve redesign of Gale Center Rental Packet and to remove the $75 kitchen fee.

       

    4. Approval of fireworks contract for July 4, 2022 with DeSoto Fireworks LLC. City Attorney has reviewed the contract.

       

    5. Approval to pay Brian Blake $200 to provide music entertainment during the 4th of July Celebration.

       

    6. Approval to charge a $175 flat fee for approved licensed food vendors to set up to sell concessions during the 4th of July Celebration

       

    7. Approval to enter into a partnership with Wesley Meadows to allow them to use the Adult Trikes and Bikes along with the helmets.Bike Share Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney.

       

    8. Approval for Melinda Franklin to lead instructional sewing class for Hernando Parks and Recreation during the summer of 2022. Proposed Service Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney.

       

    9. Approval to enter into an agreement with and allow the Hernando Youth Football Association (HYFA) to use Milton Kuykendall Park this fall at no charge. Proposed agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney.

       

    10. Approve lowest/best quote for Soccer Parking Lot soil cement.

       

    11. Approve lowest/best quote for Soccer Parking Lot dirt work.
