7) Consent Agenda
A) Approval to close the Public Health and Safety Hearings with no action for CE-1872 (2936 College Street) and CE-1870 (463 Nesbit Road). Violations have been corrected.
B) Approval of Noah’s Gift 5K on October 5, 2024 and to approve road closures.
C) Authorize C. Smith to attend Driver Operator 1002 Certification Course in Pearl, MS at the MS State Fire Academy on April 8, 2024, also authorize to pay registration and travel expense.
D) Authorize J. Slay to attend Driver Operator 1002 Certification Course in Pearl, MS at the MS State Fire Academy on April 8, 2024, also authorize to pay registration and travel expense.
E) Authorize J. Waggener to attend Haz-Mat Technician I Certification Course in Pearl, MS at the MS State Fire Academy on January 15, 2024, also authorize to pay registration and travel expense.
F) Authorize D. Anthony to attend EMT Certification Course in Pearl, MS at the MS State Fire Academy on February 5, 2024, also authorize to pay registration and travel expense.
G) Authorize T. Harris to attend Fire Service Management Certification Course in Pearl, MS at the MS State Fire Academy on August 12, 2024, also authorize to pay registration and travel expense.
H) Requesting approval for registration and travel for Jared Barkley to attend the Mississippi Recreation and Park Association’s Executive Leadership Summit March 6-7, 2024 in Cleveland, MS.
I) Approval for Patrick Elmore to attend SFST Class at MLEOTA Pearl, MS on 2/5-2/8/2024 and pay for lodging.
J) Approval for H. Solomon and T. Vaughn to attend CQB Instructor Level 1 & 2 at BCSO Training Facility, San Antonio, TX on 2/26-3/1/2024 and pay for all travel costs.
K) Requesting board approval for registration, lodging, and travel for Michael Gross to attend the rescheduled Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) course in Clinton, MS February 6-9, 2023.
L) Approval for Mayor Johnson, Gia Matheny, Scott Smith, 1 adult chaperone, and 30 students to attend the MYC Youth Summit (MSU Starkville) on 3/1 – 3/2/2024 and pay registration fee of $55 per person and 12 rooms.
M) Requesting Board approval to allow the US Postal Service to host a job fair in support of the local Hernando Post Office at the Gale Center, for no charge, at a date to be determined.
N) Request to formally set the speed limit of St. Ives Subdivision and Jefferson Subdivision at 20 mph.
O) Scrivener’s Error for A&J One Stop Plat, Plat Book 123, Page 4. Correcting the owner’s certificate to correctly note A and J One Stop Inc.

9) Request to declare surplus 1 Glock 17 Serial # BHGB517 City Asset #3425. Surplus item to be sold to Retired Lt. Coleman for $1.00 pursuant to MS Code 45-9-131; Purchase of sidearm by retiring law enforcement officer.
10) Approval to enter into a contract for services for the Circuit Clerk to compile all data for the City of Hernando’s redistricting and enter into the SEMS library for a $1,000.00 fee.
