The 10-kilometer race, which will start Saturday, October 12th at 8 a.m. in the heart of the city at Hernando’s Town Square, features a course that will wind through the city’s scenic, tree-lined streets in the shadow of the Hernando Water Tower. Built in 1925 and officially designated a Mississippi Landmark (the highest form of recognition bestowed on properties by the state) in 2009, the water tower has figured prominently in local lore. After party with live music, food and beverages follows the race!
